Ear Candling is used for clearing built-up earwax and congestion in the sinuses, and is a gentle and safe alternative to syringing. Its use goes back to the Native American people, where the local healer or shaman would use it to prepare (or cleanse) a person for ceremonies.
Ear candling has been found helpful with some forms of tinnitus, rhinitis, catarrh and deafness. The treatment combines the use of ear candles with a massage of face, neck and scalp to stimulate energy points, to encourage drainage of the sinuses and to increase circulation of blood and lymph fluids. It is usually found to be a relaxing experience.
